Skip to main contentThe Campflare V2 API builds upon our initial V1 offerings with a more comprehensive and accurate dataset.
The V1 API was heavily tied to various reservation platforms which led to many issues when organizing the campground data.
For example, a campground may have been separated into multiple listings or would have inconsistent campsite level data.
The V2 API continually updates its campground data to ensure accurate information and also offers real-time availability data so you can see current campsite status.
There are no plans to deprecate the V1 API in the near future, it will continue to be supported and maintained. The v1 API Documentation can be found in the same place as it was before, here.
API Key & Webhook Management
Managing API keys and webhook endpoints has stayed the same and can be managed on the API Dashboard.
The same API key is used for both the V1 and V2 APIs, and authorization is handled the same way.
Campground IDs
Campground IDs have changed and a direct 1 to 1 mapping between V1 and V2 identifiers is not always possible.
To find corresponding V2 campground IDs, utilize the search endpoint which can help match V1 listings to their V2 equivalents.
As an example, San Elijo State Beach Campground was split into 3 separate campgrounds on the v1 API (rc-709-666, rc-709-670, rc-709-665) and
are now correctly grouped into 1 campground (san-elijo-sb-campground-californiastateparks-665).
